Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 lb sirloin steak,cut in 4 portions
- Salt and pepper
- 3/4 lb white or brown mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 tsp fresh or 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 1/2 c beef stock
- 1 Large onionsliced or chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Heat 2 Tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
Season steaks with salt and pepper
Sear in pan 2-3 min per side
Remove steaks to a plate
Add remaining oil to the pan
Add mushrooms and onions and cook until tender,about 5 min
Mix in flour and thyme
Slowly pour in the stock,stirring steadily
Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce starts to thicken
Season with salt and pepper
Return the steaks to the pan and heat for a few min.
