Turkey Burger with Peach Mayo

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp. canola oil
  • 2 small peaches peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. minted fresh ginger
  • 4 tsp. teriyaki sauce, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp.
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • makes 6

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add peaches and ginger;cook and stir until peaches are tender. Add 1 tsp. teriyaki sauce;cook 1 minute longer. Transfer to a small bowl ;cool slightly.

2. In a bowl, combine onion,pepper,salt and remaining teriyaki sauce. Add turkey; mix lightly but well . Shape into six 1/2 inch thick patties.

3. spray grill with oil to coat. Grill burgers over medium heat for 6 minutes per side or until meat thermometer reads 165.

4. Stir mayonnaise into peach mixture. Serve burgers on toasted buns with peach mayo, with whatever toppings you like.
