Baked Rhubarb

Rhubarb keeps its color and shape best when baked. Serve for breakfast; as a side dish with chicken, pork, or turkey; combine with fresh strawberries for shortcake.

Ingredients
- 4 c. rhubarb, sliced
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 T. water (or Sherry)
- 1/3 t. nutmeg
- 1/2 t. lemon peel
Preparation
Step 1
Slice rhubarb with other ingredients. Mix thoroughly and turn int buttered 2-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake in 350 oben 40-45 minutes until tender.
