crunchy caramel apple pie

Ingredients

  • pie crust
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tab. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 6 cups thinly sliced apples
  • crumb topping-1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans and caramel topping-these go on after baking

Preparation

Step 1

mix first batch of ingredients for filling and mix crumb topping ingredients together cutting in the butter last to make big crumbs-i always double the topping

bake 375 for 50 to 60 min

remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped pecans and drizzle with caramel topping
