French Onion Pie

  • 9 " pie shell
  • 2 cups fried onion rings
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Dash cayenne pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Bake pie shell according to instructions. While still warm, fill bottom with 1 1/2 cups fried onions. Beat eggs with milk, 1/2 cup cheddar, salt and cayenne. Pour over onions and then sprinkle rest of cheese on top. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes. Sprinkle rest of onions around edge. Bake 5 to 10 minutes more and let cool for 10 minutes before cutting.
