Ingredients
- 2 c rhubarb
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c shortening
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c flour
- 1 teas soda
- 1 teas baking powder
- 1 c sour milk
- 1/4 teas salt
- 1 teas cinnamon
- 1 teas vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Mix rhubarb with 1/2 c. sugar and set aside. Mix shortening and 1 1/2 c sugar well. Add the egg. Mix all dry ingredients and add alternately with sour milk and vanilla. Add the rhubarb last. Bake one hour at 350 in a greased 9 x 13 pan.
