Joe's Crab Shack Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cup water
  • 1 tb. plus 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • 1/4 tsp. white pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups white rice
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic

Preparation

Step 1

1. Bring the water, 1 tb. butter, bay leaf,and the white pepper to a boil in saucepan.
2. Add the rice cover and lower the heat to simmer and cook 20 minutes until the rice is tender.
3. Saute the vegetables in the 1 tsp. butter until tender.
4. Stir into the cooked rice and serve.
