Ingredients
- 3/4 c salsa
- 1/4 c. tomato based bbq sauce
- 1/4 c. liquid from a jar of Jalapenos
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Meat: 2lb sirloin tri-tip or top sirloin
- Seasoning: 1/2 tsp S&P
- 1/2 tsp meat seasoning -McCormick or Susie Q
- Sides: Canned ranch-style beans, 1 loaf sourdough or French loaf - sliced, toasted & buttered
Preparation
Step 1
Combine marinade ingredient in a large bowl - add meat & marinate for several hours
Heat grill - stock w/oak bits is best but gas grill works too
Wipe excess marinade from meat - apply meat seasoning
Grill steak over med heat until cooked - 25 - 30 minutes
Let meat rest 5 - 10 minutes - SLICE VERY THIN
Serve w/beans & toasted bread
