Shrimp De Jonghe

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 3 large shallots
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of white pepper
  • 1/2 cup of sherry (extra dry)
  • 4 tablespoons of parsley
  • 2 pounds of shrimp raw and peeled
  • 1 1/3 french bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in large skillet add shallots and garlic, saute. Add white pepper (the more you cook it the more peppery it gets).
Put breadcrumbs, parsley, sherry & butter mixture in large bowl, mix.
Place raw shrimp in a glass 13x9 dish, put mixture from large bowl on top of shrimp.
Bake at 350 degrees until middle shrimp is red about 20 minutes.
