Apple Pie Breakfast Bulgar

Skip the oatmeal and try bulgur, which has double the fiber! It also slows the absorption of sugar and helps prevent mood swings

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup bulgar
  • 3/4 cup diced apple
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp walnuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Soak bulgar then mix all ingredients except yogurt and walnuts in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Serve with yogurt and walnuts on top.
