Ingredients
- 2 cans of China Lily Water Chestnuts
- Bacon
- Soy Sauce
- Brown Sugar
- Ginger
Preparation
Step 1
Put 2 cans of chestnuts in bowl add 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp of brown sugar and 1/2 tsp of fresh ginger. Toss to cover. Marinade no longer than 2-3 hours or chestnuts lose crunch. Cut bacon strips in half. Wrap chestnuts and put toothpick through nut and bacon to hold. Fry on all sides. Serve warm but are good at room temp. Alternate use majool dates ...sticky sauce when broiled in oven...crisp bacon on all sides.
