Strawberry Chiffon Squares

My original recipe has an alternative 'green' version which has pineapple and whatever turns it a green colour. Might be lime gelatin. When I next pull it out, I'll check the ingredients and advise. In the meantime...enjoy. Orlean

Ingredients
- Ingredients:
- A light fluffy cloud of temptation, bursting with the taste of strawberries.
- Preparation Time: 15 minutes plus chilling time
- Makes: 12 squares
- 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) vanilla or graham wafer crumbs
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) butter, melted
- 1 pkg (3 oz /85 g) strawberry-flavoured gelatin
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) boiling water
- 1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) lemon juice
- 1 Pkg(10 oz /284g) frozen sliced strawberries, thawed, not drained
- 3 cups (750 mL) miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup (250 mL) whipping cream, whipped
Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine crumbs and butter. Press mixture onto bottom of parchment paper-lined 9 x 9" (2 L) pan.
2. In large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. (Remove from heat); stir in Eagle Brand, lemon juice and strawberries. Fold in marshmallows and whipping cream.
3. Pour over crumb crust. Chill 2 hours or until set.
4. Lift from pan and peel
off parchment paper. Cut into squares. Garnish as desired.
