Marshmallow Frosting

A quick and easy marshmallow frosting recipe that is delicious! Great for S'mores without the campfire or a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup ordinary sugar, white or brown
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Preparation

Step 1

In a heat proof bowl, add the eggs, sugar and salt.

Whisk the egg white mixture constantly over simmering water until the sugar dissolves and the mix is hot to the touch, approximately 5 minutes.

Pour the mix into a larger bowl and continue mixing with an electric mixer for about 3 minutes. Add the vanilla while mixing. After 3 minutes, the mixture will be a nice fluffy texture.

Using a plastic bag with a tip cut off, simply pipe it straight out the end of the piping bag directly onto the cupcakes.
