FROZEN MASHED POTATOES

Make ahead.

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs. potatoes (about 9 large)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) sour cream
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Boil potatoes till tender.

Mashed with a potato masher.

Mix all ingredients.

Spread over a 9x13 casserole dish and smooth top with a spatula.

Cover and freeze.

Before serving, heat oven at 350 degrees. Thaw potatoes and bake for at least 45 minutes to an hour.
