Ingredients

  • Batter:
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups pealed apples, chopped (2 apples)
  • Sauce:
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup boiling water

Grease 1 1/2 quart casserole.

* Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, milk and apples, blend thoroughly.
* Spread in casserole.

* Combine brown sugar, butter and boiling water, stir till butter is melted.
