b. Apricot Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped dry apricots
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts [I use pecans]
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter [margarine]
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Sift dry ingredients.

Stir in apricots and nuts.
Add butter, egg, milk
Stir only enough to moisten dry ingredients.
Do not beat.

Turn into greased 9x5x3 loaf pan.

Bake 350 degrees 60 - 70 minutes.
