Beef Roast - Glynn Tomblin's Roast Recipe

Ingredients

  • Beef roast
  • Garlic salt
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup of corn starch
  • Water
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Sear roast on all sides in vegetable oil. Sprinkle with garlic salt. No flour or regular salt.

Cook 10 minutes per pound on 500 degrees covered. Turn oven off and leave in oven for 1 to 2 ½ hours.

Juices cooked out of roast make good gravy. Bring to boil. Add ¼ cup of corn starch, water, salt and pepper to juice to make gravy. (Mix corn starch and water together before adding to juices.) Cook till smooth consistency.
