Summer Sausage

Ingredients

  • 4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 4 Tb. Morton Tender Quick Salt
  • 1 T. liquid smoke
  • 2 cups water

Preparation

Step 1

Mix like a meat loaf (by hand). Shape into four rolls. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 24 hours. Cover with water and simmer for one hour. Remove foil and drain. Wrap in new foil and refrigerate. Slice when cold.
