cheesy scalloped potatoes with crumb topping

These are great when you have to bring a dish to pass

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter cubed
  • 1 pkg shredded hash brown potatoes (frozen)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (2 if you like alot of sauce)
  • 1 1/3 cups of milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • (optional diced green pepper)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup crushed cheese crackers

Preparation

Step 1

in a pan saute onion and butter until tender. Stir in the pottoes, soup and milk. Add the cheese (green pepper) and 1/2 of the crackers.

Pour into a baking dish. Top with remaining crackers. Bake uncovered at 375 for 35-45 minutes.
