cheesy scalloped potatoes with crumb topping
These are great when you have to bring a dish to pass
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1/2 cup butter cubed
- 1 pkg shredded hash brown potatoes (frozen)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (2 if you like alot of sauce)
- 1 1/3 cups of milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
- (optional diced green pepper)
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup crushed cheese crackers
in a pan saute onion and butter until tender. Stir in the pottoes, soup and milk. Add the cheese (green pepper) and 1/2 of the crackers.
Pour into a baking dish. Top with remaining crackers. Bake uncovered at 375 for 35-45 minutes.
