PORK CHOPS CACCIATORE

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless pork chops, approximately 3/4-inch thick
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 slices onion
  • 6 green pepper rings
  • Mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 can (14-oz) Italian style tomato sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Brown pork chops in skillet; season with salt and pepper.
Place in an 7x11-inch baking dish.
Top each pork chop with a thin onion slice, green pepper ring and sliced mozzarella cheese.
Pour tomato sauce over chops.
Cover with tin foil.
Bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
