BROCCOLI SALAD WITH SUNFLOWER SEEDS

Ingredients

  • 1 large head broccoli, separated into small florets (4 cups)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 lb bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons cider vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Combine broccoli, onion, celery, raisins, sunflower seeds and bacon in a large serving bowl.

Combine sugar, mayonnaise and vinegar.
Pour over the salad and toss until well combined.
Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.

Note: This salad is even better the next day and stores well for up to three days.
