Bacon Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup of butter that is melted
  • 1/2 pound of sliced apple wood smoked bacon
  • 1/2 pound extra sharp cheddar that has been grated
  • 1 cup of milk

Preparation

Step 1

Heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a baking sheet.

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, paprika, onion powder, and salt. Add the melted butter and stir.

Add the cheese, bacon, and milk. Stir until moistened. Put the dough on a floured surface and knead 4 or 5 times. Make 2 inch round biscuits out of the dough. Put them on the baking sheet and cook for about 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.
