Orange-Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • Finely Grated Zest Of 1 Orange
  • 1/2 C. Orange Juice
  • 1/4 C. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 11/3 C. Icing Sugar
  • 1 Vanilla Bean or 11/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 C. Whipping Cream
  • 3 Tbsp. Orange-Flavoured Liqueur

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk zest, citrus juices & icing sugar in bowl of stand mixer till sugar dissolves. Slice bean in half. Use the dull side of a paring knife to scrape the seeds out of the pod. Stir seeds into sugar mixture. Add cream. Beat on med. till mixture forms soft peaks, 2-3 min. Add liqueur & beat till combined. Scrape into a 9x5"loaf pan. Cover surface with a piece of wax or parchment paper. Freeze 4-5 hrs. Let soften 15min. before serving.
