Potato chips (fried) *not final*

making the classic potato chip at home.

Ingredients

  • Tools:
  • russet potatoes
  • water
  • Paper towels and or salad spinner.
  • V slicer or mandolin.

Preparation

Step 1

wash the outside
peel the outside, leave on if you want more rustic
cut with v slicer using thinnest setting
drop in cold water and rise
dry slices
fry at 375 for 3 minutes
remove from fryer onto paper towels and sprinkle salt on top,
let sit for a few minutes to drain.

Notes:

Fry to low a temp it will make it soggy, make sure you test batches.
