Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Zest from lemon
- 1 T chopped fresh parsley
- 1 T chopped fresh dill
- 1 T chopped fresh chives
- Freshly ground pepper
- Juice from 1 lemon
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 lb (2 cups) raw shrimp peeled
- Vegetable Oil
- Sea Salt
Preparation
Step 1
In medium bowl whisk together flour, salt, baking powder. Add lemon zest, herbs and black pepper. Into a measuring cup, add lemon juice and enough milk to equal 1/3 cup total. Whisk beaten egg into milk mixture. Add wet ingredients to dry until combined. Fold in shrimp.
Deep fry into heavy pan until golden brown. Remove to a paper towel lined plate. Season w/sea salt. Serve warm with
Garlic Herb Aiola:
1 Cup mayo
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp each dill, parsley, chives, shallot, prepared horseradish.
1 T lemon juice
Zest of 1/2 lemon
Few drops Tobasco sauce.
Mix all and chill till ready to serve.
