Baked Onion Loaf

Ingredients

  • 2 cups buttermilk baking mix
  • 1 small can French-fried onions
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 can cream of onion soup

Preparation

Step 1

Combine baking mix and ½ cup water in bowl; mix well. Pat into greased 7x1 1-inch baking dish. Sprinkle half the onions and cheese over dough. Blend eggs and soup. Pour over onions and cheese. Top with remaining onions and cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut into squares. Serve hot. Yield: 6 servings.
