Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 lb yellow onions, peeled and sliced approx. 1/8” thick
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

In a large saucepan heat the olive oil. When hot, add the onions and cook until golden brown. Add the sugar & vinegar. Reduce heat to very low and cook until all liquid has evaporated.
