  • 1 PKG CHOCOLATE CAKE MIX
  • 1 CAN CHERRY FRUIT PIE FILLING
  • 1 TSP ALMOND EXTRACT
  • 2 EGGS BEATEN
  • FROSTING
  • 1 CUP SUGAR
  • 1/3 CUP MILK
  • 5 TBS BUTTER OR MARGARINE
  • 1 CUP MILK CHOCOLATE CHIPS

Preparation

Step 1

HEAT OVEN TO 350 F
GREASE 13 X 9 BAKING PAN
IN LARGE BOWL COMBINE THE CAKE MIX, FRUIT FILLING, EXTRACT, EGGS AND MILK AND SPREAD INTO BAKING PAN
BAKE AT 350 F FOR 25 TO 30 MINUTES UNTIL TOOTHPICK INSERTED COMES OUT CLEAN.

FROSTING
IN SMALL SAUCE PAN COMBINE SUGAR, MILK, AND MARGARINE. BRING TO A BOIL. BOIL FOR ONE MINUTE STIRRING CONSTANTLY. REMOVE FROM HEAT, ADD CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND STIR UNTIL SMOOTH. SPREAD OVER COOLED CAKE.
