Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups dried cavatelli or medium shell pasta
- 12 ounces sweet Italian sausage links, cut into 3/4" pieces
- 1 can (29 ounce) Tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta according to package directions, drain.
Meanwhile, cook sausage in large skillet until no pink remains; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, basil, oregano and half of cheese. Stir in pasta. Spoon mixture into 2 quart casserole. Bake, covered at 400 degrees, for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes more or until heated through. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
