Ingredients
- 8 apples - peeled and sliced thin
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together ingredients except for apples.
Butter casserole dish.
Fill with half the apples and cover with half of the mixture. Add rest of the apples and top with the remaining mixture. Dot with butter and bake at 325 for 30-40 minutes.
Serve warm with cream or hard sauce.
