Ingredients
- Mixture:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 T sugar
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 2- 3 oz. ramen noodles (w/o seasoning packet)
- 3 oz. sliced almonds or walnuts or both
- Salad:
- 2 pounds bok choy- chopped (use 'some' green leaves)
- 4 green onions- chopped
- Dressing:
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 T soy sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Mixture:
In medium sauce pan melt butter, add sugar, seeds, BROKEN noodles (pound with mallet while still in package) and nuts. Cook until medium brown. Stir frequently as burns easily. Cool to room temp.
Mix salad well with mixture. Add dressing before serving. Too soon and it gets soggy but give enough time to mix flavors.
