Ingredients
- 2 ripe mangoes, diced
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, with juice
- 2 jalapenos, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 small red onion, chopped
- 2 packets chili seasoning (Brooks Chili)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- dash hot sauce (optional)
- 2 cans red beans
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato sauce or paste
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare ground beef and drain. Add seasoning packets and prepare according to chili packet instructions. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 30 minutes. Serve over rice (sweet coconut rice).
*I cut this recipe in half and it was plenty for us
