Three Onion Parmesan Tart

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • 2 Cups Onion Sliced
  • 1 Cup Red Onion Sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Leeks Sliced
  • 1 ea 10” Tart Shell or Pie Shell Prebaked
  • 1 Cup Hellmann’s/Best Foods Real Mayonnaise
  • 1 Cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 1 ea Egg Beaten
  • 1 Tbsp Chives Chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Parsley Chopped
  • To taste-Cracked Pepper and Kosher Salt

Preparation

Yield: 10 servings

Heat the oil in a saucepan, add onions and leeks and saute until golden brown, remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature. Blend the mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, egg and herbs. In a prebaked tart/pie shell, place 1/3 of the mayonnaise mixture, place onions mixture on top and spread evenly, place remaining mayonnaise mixture on top of onions and spread evenly. Bake tart at 350*F for about 20 minutes or until the mixture is firm, remove from the oven. Let cool and slice.
