Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup salad oil
- 14 oz. can pumpkin
Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour again with rest of dry ingredients, including spices. In a large mixing bowl, slightly beat the eggs. Beat in oil and pumpkin. Beat until well blended. Gradually mix in sifted flour mixture. Continue mixing until thoroughly blended and evenly moistened.
Pour into 2 greased 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pans and bake at 350 deg. for 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out dry and clean.
Let cool about 5 minutes, then turn out on rack.
