Pickled onions

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 medium onions ( you can use up to 7 )
  • 2 green peppers, or any color (for color)
  • 3 cups cider vinegar
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 hawaiian red peppers seeded and chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Hawaiian salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cut onions and green peppers into wedges pack lightly into jar. Combine remaining ingredients, stirring until salt dissolves. Pour over onions and peppers. Cover and let stand for 24 hours, then store in refrigerator. Makes 2 quarts.
