Ingredients
- 16 oz ripe strawberries hulled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy (whipping) cream
- 1 cup creme fraiche
- 2 or 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Preparation
Step 1
1. Puree strawberries with sugar in food processor.
2. Transfer to large bowl and whisk in the cream, creme fraiche, lemon juice, vanilla and salt.
3. Pour into ice cream freezer and freeze for 45 minutes.
4. Transfer to chilled metal sheet pan and freeze until hard.
