Ingredients
- 2 cups of water
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 cup uncooked grits
- 4 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1 t. Tabasco sauce
- 1 lb sausage, browned and drained
Preparation
Step 1
Bring water and salt to a boil
Stir in grits, and return to a boil,
Reduce heat and cook grits for four minutes, stirring occasionally
Add cheese and stir until cheese is melted
Combine eggs, milk and Tabasco sauce and stir well
Add small amount of hot grits mixture to egg mixture, stirring well
Stir egg mixture into remaining grits mixture.
Add cooked sausage and stir well.
Pour into 9" X 13" baking dish
Cover and refrigerate over night.
Remove from refrigerator and let stand for 15 minutes.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.
