Ingredients
- 1 cup brown Lentils cooked
- 4 tablespoons butter or vegan margarine
- 2 large onions, diced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon Herbs de Provence
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 15 oz can tomatoes chopped or diced
- salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 pds potatoes, cooked and mashed
- a little butter for top of mashed potatoes
Preparation
Step 1
Saute’ onions, add garlic, mixed herbs, tomatoes, soy sauce lentils, salt and pepper to taste.
Spoon mixture into a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes on top, using a forks prongs to make nice lines in the potatoes. Place small pieces of butter on top.
Bake pie for about 45 minutes, until top is golden brown.
