Orange Cookies

Ingredients

• Cookie:
• 2 C sugar
• 1 C + 3 T shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 C sour milk
• Juice and grated rind of 1 orange
• 1/2 t salt
• 1/2 t baking soda
• 4 - 5 C flour
• Frosting:
• 1 box confectioners sugar
• juice and greated rind of 1 orange
• 1 1/2 T melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

1. Beat together sugar, shortening, eggs, sour milk, orange juice and rind. combine salt baking soda and flour. Add to creamed mixture.

2. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake 350 deg. 10 - 15 mins. Cool.

3. Beat all frosting ingredients together and spread on cooled cookies.
