Freezer Strawberry Jam

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Wash berries; remove hulls. Place berries in large saucepan with 2 cups of the sugar; mix well. Heat to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add lemon juice. Pour into large bowl; stir frequently, skimming foam from surface. Cover; let stand overnight. Ladle into hot scalded jars. Cover immediately with thin layer of melted paraffin, then lids. Store in freezer.
