Ingredients
- 3 cups strawberries
- 3 cups sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Combine ingredients well and heat to a boil over LOW heat in a saucepan (ingredients can be mixed together the night before cooking). Once boiling, turn heat up to medium and wait until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Continue boiling hard for 15 minutes. Skim white off while cooking.
Remove from heat and pour into crock or earthen pan and let set overnight. Place paraffin on top and can.
** Do not cook too long or on too high a temperature or jam will be dark and tough. **
