Ingredients
- 4 large sweet potatoes or yams (about 5 cup; piiled, 3/4 inch cubes
- 1 medium Butternut squash (about 2 cups); peeled,seeded,3/4 cubes
- 4 medium apples; coarsely chopped
- 2/3 cup sweet red Pesach wine (may be half; water)
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well. Turn into a
greased 8x11 inch baking pan. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake in
a preheated 375°F oven for about one hour, or until the sweet potatoes and
squash are tender.
Stir the tzimmes before serving to evenly distribute the sauce and slightly
mash the apples. Makes about 8 servings.
