Hot & Sour Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1-3 Tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 cup thinly sliced strips of red bell pepper
  • 1 cup thinly sliced strips of yellow bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1-2 chopped pickled jalapeno peppers
  • 4 cups shredded or finely chopped
  • Savoy cabbage

Preparation

Step 1

Combine soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and black pepper to make sauce. Heat the peanut oil in a wok at medium-high until shimmering. Stir-fry the red and yellow bell peppers and the onions for about 1 minute, until crisp tender. Add the jalepeno peppers and cook about 30 seconds. Remove the red and yellow peppers, and add the cabbage. Cook the cabbage 1-2 minutes, then return the red and yellow peppers to the wok. Add the sauce and cook 1 minute.
