Beacon Hill Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 lg tart green apples pealed cored and sliced very this
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Pre heat oven to 425

line pie pan with pastry
In medium bowl mix apple slices, sugar, salt, cinnamon, lemon zest, and lemon juice.

pile into pie pan.
Dot with butter.
Seal on top crust.
Slice vent holes.

Bake for 10 mins.
Reduce heat to 350 and bake for an additional 30 mins.
Brush top with cream and sprincle with sugar.
Bake another 5 mins.
