Ground Cherry Preserves

Ingredients

  • 3 cups ground cherries
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 box pectin (Sure-Jel)

Preparation

Step 1

To a quart saucepan, add cherries, lemon juice, water and Sure-Jel. Bring to a boil and mash cherries. Be sure they are all mashed so they will absorb the sugar. Add sugar. Boil according to directions on Sure-Jel package. This makes about 3 medium jars of jam.
