Chunky Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 2 McIntosh Apples
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples
  • (8 cups of apples)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Halve, core and peel apples. Cut each into wedges.

Combine all ingredients in a 2 1/2 qt pan. Cook uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir. Cook another 5 minutes. Using a potato masher, coarsely mash apples into liquid. Allow to cool to room temperature.
