Italian Beef Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 small can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 boxes of chopped frozen spinach
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 6 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • Pepper to taste
  • Garlic to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Sliced mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. Into heated oil, add drained mushrooms and chuck. Saute until meat is done. Drain thoroughly and set aside.

2. Heat the 2 boxes of thawed spinach and set aside to drain.

3. Add cream of celery soup, shredded mozzarella, onion, pepper, garlic and drained spinach to chuck mixture. Mix thoroughly. Then stir in the sour cream.

4. Put the mixture into 2 quart baker. Cover with a lattice pattern of the sliced mozzarella strips.

5. Bake at 250 degrees, 30 to 40 minutes OR microwave on High for 20 minutes.
