Ingredients
- 14 bacon slices (about 3/4 Ib.)
- 14 large sea scallops (about 1 Ib.), halved
- 1/2 cup capers, drained
- Toothpicks
Preparation
Step 1
Cook bacon over moderate heat until edges begin to
brown but bacon is still flexible, about 2 minutes.
Drain and cool on paper towels.
Cut bacon slices in half. Place 1 scallop half, on each slice of bacon, then wrap bacon around scallop and secure with a toothpick. Place on greased cookie sheet.
Broil scallops, bacon side up towards broiler, 4 to 5 inches from heat, turning once, until bacon is browned and scallops are opaque, about 6 minutes total.
Sprinkle with drained capers. Serve immediately. Refrigerate any leftovers.
