Ingredients
- 1 Pillsbury pie crust
- 8-10 Cortland apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup or less maple syrup
- 2 T. tapioca
- 1/2 -1 tsp. cinnamon
- Dash of nutmeg
- 2 T. Butter
- Milk
- Cinnamon sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Peel and cut up apples into bite size pieces. Mix apples with sugars, maple syrup, tapioca,cinnamon and nutmeg. Let set for 15-20 minutes which allows the tapioca to thicken mixture.
Fill pie shell with apple mixture and dot top of apple mixture with 2 T butter. Cover with top pie shell making sure to create vent holes. Brush with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Bake in 400 degree oven for 45-50 minutes
